She looks at the viewer from the side. Her mouth is slightly open and indicates a smile. Mary Magdalene seems audacious and seductive. The dress she wears has a plunging neckline. Yet the lady depicted as a seductress is a saint of the Catholic Church, far ahead of her time: she resists hierarchies and marriage. I photographed Maria, pardon Marie, for my »Crying Project«.
