»Gern Gesehen« honored with Münchner Lichtblicke award

Since 2000, the City of Munich, the »Lichterkette e.V.« and the Munich Migration Advisory Board have been handing out the »Münchner Lichtblicke« award. It nods to initiatives, projects, and individuals who oppose xenophobia and racism and who work in an exemplary manner for peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and cultural diversity.

We received this honor in June 2023 for our project »Gern Gesehen – Conversations with Sinti and Roma in Munich«. In 2021, we were already granted the Wilhelm Freiherr von Pechmann Award for the same project.
